 2024 EPIK Video Clip Contest
 
The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) is hosting the 2024 EPIK Video Clip Contest. Selected videos will be used to promote EPIK and provide information about teaching in Korea. We look forward to your interest and participation in these special contests.
 
 
 
 Eligibility: Current Native English Teache
rs placed in public schools and institutions in the Republic of Korea
    ※ Native English Teachers who were directly hired through various MOE/POEs, rather than through EPIK, are eligible to participate as long as they are currently employed by their institution through the deadline of this contest.
 
 Contest Format and Awards: There are
two acceptable formats (regular video clip, short form video), 16 awardees will be selected

(50 seconds ~ 1 minute)
Purpose
- Providing useful information and tips about teaching and living in Korea for future EPIK teachers
- Sharing information about various regions, schools, and age groups to current EPIK teachers
- Increasing promotional exposure of EPIK to eligible and prospective applicants through online platforms (SNS)

Any topic(s) relevant to promoting teaching and living in Korea

File format: MP4 / Standard codec (Do not use HEVC codec)

Topic(s): EPIK (English Program in Korea), EPIK Life, Teaching and Living in Korea, etc.
Style: Any
Length: 50 seconds to 1 minute
Language: English
Resolution: Minimum  1,080 x 1,920
File format: MP4 / Standard codec (Do not use HEVC code)
       ※ A slideshow of photos saved in video format is not acceptable
         ※ Multiple entries on different topics are allowed (however, multiple awards are not possible)

     ※ Information entered into the Excel file must match the signed and scanned Contest Application Form. Any discrepancies may lead to disqualification.

 Important Notices & Information for Video Clip Contest
 ◦ Permission to participate in the Video Clip Contest must be obtained from the school principal and the Contest Application Form must have the official school stamp/seal included
   - EPIK has the right to contact the school for reference confirmation before the selection process 
 ◦ Disqualification from the contest due to failure to complete the required forms or submission of damaged files is borne on the contest participant
 ◦ Upon selection as a winning entry, the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) owns the copyright of the entry and may copy, send, revise, English Program in Korea (EPIK)and distribute the entry as needed for non-profit promotional goals of the
     ※ Including, but not limited to, online postings (NIIED Homepage, EPIK Homepage, SNS, etc.), use during EPIK Orientations, creation of promotional materials and use during promotional events
 ◦ Upon the submission of the entry the following the final selection, the contest participant has acknowledged and agreed to aforementioned notices regarding the usage and the permissions granted with the contest entry, the award money includes all compensation for the copyright usage of selected entries
 ◦ Contest participants must submit the original file to the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) if their entry is selected
 ◦ Contest participants must abide by copyright laws (fonts, music) and portrait rights, and will bear the full responsibility for any legal issues resulting from the contest entry
 Contest participants will be disqualified if the entry was selected in other contest(s) or if any parts are found to be plagiarized, if such is confirmed after the selection process, the award and prize money will be retracted
     ※ Entries must be of original content, entries that have been part of, or is currently in, or will be entered in other contest(s) will be disqualified
 Multiple entries on different topics can be submitted, however, multiple awards are not possible
 ◦ The contest timeline and number of award recipients is subject to change based on the number and quality of entries
