For the past sixty years, the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) has continued to establish itself as a leader in international education by fostering global talent and multinational human resources.

Despite facing drastic internal and external challenges and changes in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, I come to this presidency of the NIIED with a deep sense of responsibility.

Korea has emerged as a globally-recognized cultural and economic powerhouse. People around the world are learning about the Korean language and culture. Many countries are expanding their educational exchanges with Korea.

To fulfill these expectations and credence in our organization, the NIIED will initiate innovation in preparation for the future generations.

I pledge to do everything in my power to advance the reputation of the NIIED for both Koreans and global citizens around the world.
